for Worship!
Immanuel is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
Our story is both ancient and timely; it's a story of a powerful and patient God who has boundless love for all people of the world. It’s a story that brings deep meaning, comfort and strength to a growing community of people who live in modern, often unsettling times.

Our History
Originally called Svenska Lutherska Immanuel Kryka, Immanuel Greeley was founded by Swedish immigrants in 1905, just 25 years after Greeley, Colorado was established. By 1907, the church building had been built, and in the next few decades would gradually move to English services until the church name and people became Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. With each decade that passes, the church grew, both in building and in body, but the heart of ILC has remained the same. Worship, music, and family is the core of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
