A mountaintop moment!

“This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”

Those words changed everything! The disciples had walked with Jesus, eaten with Him, laughed with Him. They knew Him as teacher and friend. But on this mountain, they glimpse something more: Jesus is not only their companion—He is the Son of God in radiant glory.

There are moments in life when heaven feels closer than usual—when the ordinary suddenly gives way to awe. Matthew 17 tells of one of those breathtaking moments: the Transfiguration.

Always remember that mountaintop moments prepare us for valley living. In our noisy world, the command is simple and clear: Listen to Him.
